Testimony from Prison – Sep-Oct 2017

I have done a lot in my 17 years that I am not proud of. I have stolen from a lot of people. God knows I have used my powers for evil more than once. I have done more bad than good it seems a lot of times. But I found my salvation on the cross and my salvation’s name is Jesus. Amen! I have for sure broken every one of the Ten Commandments.

“You shall have no other gods before me.” I am ashamed to say, but I have played with God before. In the past I have taken God’s love for me for granted. To be honest with you, there has been times when God should have given up on me.

“You shall not make to yourself any graven image.” For a long time I have put myself before a lot of things including God.

“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.” I have cursed God’s name more times than I can count.

“Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.” I used to hate Sundays because the stores stopped selling beer.

“Honor your mother and father.” I have lied, stolen, hit, and just plain disrespected both of my parents for most of my life.

“You shall not kill.” I have never killed anyone, but my anger has gotten so bad in the past that I have coveted against people before. So I have sinned against number 6 by number 10.

“You shall not commit adultery.” I am human, and we have lust and we feed it sometimes.

“You shall not steal.” Theft was one of the worst addictions I have ever had. To this day I still don’t know what it was about it that I loved so much. It never got me anywhere in life.

(Read Job 33:27, 28. Praise the Lord for this testimony.     Editor)

“You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.” I have told countless lies in my 17 years for countless reasons. I am glad God knows all because I don’t know how I would be forgiven without His wisdom of all things. Amen!

“You shall not covet.” Lust can be an evil thing if you don’t control it. Lust has led me into some dark places, jail being one of them. Satan loves to tempt us with lust. If there is one thing I can tell you it is, “Be led by your faith, not by your lust.”

Anyone who looks at Exodus 20:1-17 could be overwhelmed, but that is why it is important to keep Jesus alive inside of you. As humans, we were born into sin. But through rebirth we are given salvation. Amen!

I am very thankful to Mr. Lynnford Beachy for helping me understand this. Keep growing into Christ and let your light shine… God bless!
