I am sure you have noticed the alarming things taking place in our world today. Christians are being persecuted in unimaginable ways in many parts of the world. Please remember them in your prayers. “Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body” (Hebrews 13:3).
The morality of this world is going down fast. Things that people were ashamed to talk about 25 years ago are being promoted as positive, healthy activities today. Let us heed the instruction of the Bible: “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret” (Ephesians 5:11, 12).
Friends, there is not much time left. Get ready, get ready, get ready! Time is short! “…prepare to meet thy God” (Amos 4:12). I pray that you will be ready to meet the Lord in peace.
“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless” (2 Peter 3:10-14).
Jesus told us about some events that would take place just prior to His coming, and many of them are happening now. You can read about them in Matthew 24 and Luke 21. The greatest preparation is to make sure you are connected to the vine, Jesus Christ (John 15). He is our only safety in the coming trials.
Jesus said, “Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life” (Revelation 2:10). Maranatha!
